Originally from Kentucky, Dr. Harris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1984 before going on to graduate with high honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1988. In 2012, he completed his certification in Expanded Therapeutic Procedures, which allows him to perform minor laser procedures on the anterior segment of the eye. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. Harris is an active member of the Kentucky Optometric Association (KOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).
Outside the Office
Dr. Harris lives in Richmond with his wife, Norma. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and being part of the community he’s served for more than two decades.
